Job Requirements

• Active national and state licensure as a Physician Assistant
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an ICU or critical care setting
• Strong proficiency with ICU procedures, especially central line and arterial line insertion
• Ability to manage critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred for order entry and documentation
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills
• For NP candidates, acute care certification is required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill ICU patients
• Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions
• Collaborate closely with attending physicians to develop and update plans of care
• Document histories, physicals, consults, follow-up notes, and procedure notes in the EMR
• Interpret diagnostic testing and communicate findings to the care team
• Work with ICU nursing staff to support timely, coordinated patient care
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds each shift
• Perform invasive procedures such as central line and arterial line insertions, according to credentialing standards
