Required Skills:
- Current NCCPA certification as a Physician Assistant
- Active state licensure in Virginia
- Proven experience in urgent care and occupational health environments
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with Anthem preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment and episodic care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle injury treatment and episodic patient care efficiently
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in diverse patient populations
- Additional certification in Occupational Health or Wilderness Medicine
- Familiarity with OSHA and workplace health protocols
- Bilingual proficiency (a plus but not required)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience, particularly in urgent care or emergency settings
- Prior experience with EMR documentation and quick decision-making
Other Requirements:
- Valid PA license and DEA registration
- Reliable transportation for mileage reimbursement (eligible providers only)
- Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate patient needs
- Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local regulations regarding healthcare practice
