Urgent Care Physician Assistant Needed – North Texas Region
Start Date: April 2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential ongoing need
Schedule
Full-time scheduled shifts only (no call)
Monday–Saturday: 8:00a–8:00p
Sunday: 12:00p–8:00p
Standard 12-hour shifts
Two providers needed
Practice Details
Outpatient urgent care environment
High-volume, fast-paced setting
Daily patient volume: 30–60 per shift
Ages: “Womb to Tomb” – must be comfortable treating all ages, including pediatrics (3 months+)
EMR: Practice Velocity
Procedures required in a typical Urgent Care setting:
Laceration repair
Incision & drainage
Reading X-ray and EKG
Work Comp cases
DOT certification strongly preferred
Clinical Scope
Full-scope urgent care management
Acute illness and minor injury care
Pediatric through geriatric patient care
Procedural care: lacerations, I&D, splinting, X-ray interpretation
High-volume patient flow requiring efficient clinical decision-making
Requirements
Physician Assistant – Urgent Care
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds
Active Texas license required (no licensing support)
3–6 years of Urgent Care or ER experience required
Must be able to manage all ages independently
DOT certification preferred
Must be local to the region
Credentialing
Approx. 60–90 days
Location
Located in the North Texas Region, serving a busy community outpatient environment with full-scope urgent care needs, high daily patient volume, and broad age coverage.
