Physician Assistant - Urgent Care (Lee's Summit, MO)

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our established urgent care clinic in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care environment while working with a supportive clinical and operational team.

Practice Details

• Clinic Location: 2741 NE McBaine Dr, Lee’s Summit, MO 64064

• Clinic Hours:

  • Sunday–Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Setting: Walk-in urgent care

• Patient Population: Infant through geriatric

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients in accordance with clinical best practices

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care aligned with NextCare’s mission and values

• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions clearly

• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Code and bill appropriately for services rendered

• Maintain clinical productivity consistent with urgent care standards

• Deliver care in a legal, ethical, and professional manner

• Follow up on patient care as clinically indicated

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Missouri Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license

• Active DEA

• PA: NCCPA certification

• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

• Ability to treat all age groups, infant through geriatric

• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or Master’s degree in Nursing

• Active BLS certification

• EHR proficiency

• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays

• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in urgent care, emergency department fast-track, or walk-in clinic

• Suturing and wound care experience

• Initial x-ray interpretation experience prior to radiology over-read
