NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our full-time urgent care team in Victoria, Texas. This role is ideal for clinicians who are comfortable working independently in a high-volume, fast-paced urgent care environment and caring for patients across the lifespan.

Mon–Fri: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sat–Sun: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Patient Population: Infant to geriatric
Position Highlights

Full-time schedule
-
High-autonomy urgent care practice
-
Established clinical workflows and operational support
-
Treat a broad mix of urgent care cases and occupational health visits
-
Perform procedures including suturing and initial x-ray interpretation
Responsibilities
-
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat urgent care patients of all ages
-
Manage patient volume efficiently while maintaining quality care
-
Perform urgent care procedures and interpret diagnostics
-
Provide clear discharge instructions and follow-up plans
-
Document care accurately in the EHR
-
Code and bill appropriately for services rendered
-
Practice in accordance with NextCare clinical standards and policies
Required Qualifications
-
Prior urgent care experience (required)
-
Active, unrestricted Texas NP or PA license
-
Active DEA (or ability to obtain)
-
PA: NCCPA certification
-
NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

Comfortable treating all age groups independently

Active BLS certification
-
EHR proficiency
-
Ability to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
-
DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided)
Preferred Experience
-
Multiple years of urgent care or ED fast-track experience
-
Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care)

Initial x-ray interpretation experience
