Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and treat 3–4 patients per hour for low acuity urgent care conditions, including ankle sprains, stitches, and joint injuries
- Perform complex laceration repairs efficiently
- Conduct neonatal and pediatric assessments, including newborns from day one of life
- Interpret and read X-rays, adhering to established X-ray utilization guidelines
- Care for patients with wrist, joint, and minor trauma
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of patient encounters
Additional Information
- Minimum of 3 years of emergency department experience required; candidates with 2 years of fast track urgent care/RME plus 2 years of ED experience will be considered
- California license required
- LA firecard required (can be obtained in 2 hours)
- Board certification in Family Medicine preferred
