Physician Assistant – Urgent Care
Location: Thornton, Colorado
Compensation: $60–$80 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time | 3×12-hour shifts per week | Rotating weekends and holidays

Position Summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our team in Thornton, Colorado. The ideal provider is adaptable, patient-centered, and comfortable managing a wide range of urgent care presentations in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Clinic Hours

Saturday-Sunday: 9 AM – 4 PM
Monday–Friday: 8 AM – 8 PM

Schedules may vary based on clinic coverage needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients across all age groups
• Deliver evidence-based urgent care and occupational health services
• Perform common UC procedures per competency
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies (X-ray, POC labs)
• Ensure accurate clinical documentation and coding
• Maintain productivity aligned with industry benchmarks
• Provide patient education and clear follow-up plans
• Communicate professionally and collaborate effectively with clinic staff

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Colorado PA license
• Active DEA license or eligibility to obtain
• NCCPA certification
• Proficient in patient care across the full lifespan (infant to geriatric)
• Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies required
• Active BLS certification
• EHR proficiency
• Able to work rotating weekends and holidays
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification (training provided if needed)

Preferred Qualifications

• Urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in medical clinic experience
• Splinting, suturing, and initial X-ray interpretation
