This opportunity is with a privately owned, well-established urgent care organization serving the greater Grand Rapids area. The group operates multiple standalone clinics that offer both urgent care and limited primary care services. Each clinic is equipped with on-site X-ray, labs, procedure capabilities, and modern EMR systems designed to support high-quality, efficient patient care.
Position Summary
The organization is seeking multiple Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Physician Assistants to join its urgent care team across three local clinics (each location roughly 10 miles apart).
This role involves treating patients of all ages, performing common urgent care procedures, and assisting with select primary care visits when needed (training provided). Depending on scheduling, you may work independently or alongside another PA or physician.
The group offers flexible scheduling options — PRN, part-time, or full-time .

Essential Position Responsibilities
Provide urgent care evaluation and management for patients of all ages
Perform standard urgent care procedures, including:
Suturing
Splinting
Incision & drainage
Basic orthopedics
Conduct workers’ compensation and employment physicals
See limited primary care follow-up visits (training available if needed)
Rotate among three nearby clinic locations within a 10-mile radius
Work solo or alongside another PA or supervising physician
Document accurately using Experity EMR
Deliver patient-centered, efficient care in a walk-in setting
Maintain clinical documentation and adhere to organizational protocols
Schedule Details
Clinics open:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Weekends: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
PRN, part-time, and full-time options available
Must be willing to work a mix of weekday and weekend shifts
DOT certification required (or willingness to obtain after hire)
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Licensure & Certification
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible PA
Active Michigan PA license (or eligibility to obtain)
DOT certification (or willingness to obtain post-hire)
Experience
Minimum 1 year post-training PA experience required
Background in urgent care, emergency medicine, or family medicine preferred
Skills
Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, I&D)
Excellent clinical judgment and multitasking ability
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong communication and patient education skills
