We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This assignment begins Dec 16, 2025, and features 12-hour shifts with a rotating 36/40-hour schedule, including every other weekend. The provider will work autonomously within a provider/MA/front desk business model, caring for a high patient volume in a dynamic urgent care setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide autonomous urgent care services to a high volume of patients
- Conduct patient evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for acute illnesses and injuries
- Collaborate with medical assistants and front desk staff to ensure efficient clinic operations
- Perform procedures and manage urgent cases as needed within scope of practice
- Maintain complete and accurate patient documentation
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards
Additional Information
- Must hold an active NC Physician Assistant license
- Must be able to work autonomously; new graduates are not eligible
- DOT certification is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications required
- Flexibility to float to nearby locations as needed
