Job description We are seeking an experienced Family Practice Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in North Carolina. This opportunity begins Nov 24, 2025, and spans 75 days with a rotating schedule of 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts. The provider will work autonomously within a collaborative team, managing high patient volumes and utilizing Epic EMR.

  • Schedule: 36/40 rotating schedule; one week of three 12-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift, alternating with a week of three 12-hour shifts; weekdays are 12-hour shifts, weekends are 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Deliver autonomous care to patients in a family practice setting
  • Manage 40+ patient visits per shift
  • Collaborate with a medical assistant and front desk staff
  • Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations and practice standards

Additional Information
  • Active North Carolina license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience required
  • Department of Transportation (DOT) certification required within 60 days if not already held
  • Must be comfortable working independently in a high-volume environment
