Job description
Marshfield Medical Center – Rice Lake is seeking a Walk-In Care Physician Assistant in Rice Lake, Wisconsin. The Physician Assistant is a skilled member of the health team who provides medical and educational services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician, according to NP/PA Protocol, and within the scope of their License in the State of Wisconsin. This individual works within a cooperative department, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
12-hour shifts: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm
32 or 36-hour week available
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Required Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing or Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: None
Preferred/Optional: Two years of nursing experience or one to two years’ experience in specialty
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required
- Current Applicable State Nurse License or Nurse Compact License, and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Licensure.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
- Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).

In the summer, many residents of Rice Lake enjoy the splash pad, Turtleback golf course, and the Moon Lake Park with soccer fields. Fun Fact: Each summer, enjoy all that the city’s 10-day Aquafest festival has to offer, such as national musical acts, carnival rides, food and family activities.
