NextCare Urgent Care is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to urgent care patients at our Golden, Colorado location.

Clinic Hours

Full-time providers typically work three 12-hour shifts per week. Golden, CO clinic hours are:

Sunday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Monday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Schedules may vary based on coverage needs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an urgent care and/or occupational health setting
• Provide patient care aligned with NextCare’s mission and service standards
• Ensure patients understand care plans and follow-up instructions
• Document care in the EHR system accurately and in a timely manner
• Code and bill appropriately for all services delivered
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care clinical benchmarks
• Follow up on patient care as needed
• Deliver care in a legal, ethical, and compliant manner

Essential Education, Experience and Skills

• Active and unrestricted Colorado medical license (PA or NP)
• Active DEA license or willingness to obtain with employment offer
• NCCPA certification required for PAs
• ANCC or AANP certification required for NPs
• Must be able to treat patients of all ages, infant to geriatric
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in PA Studies or Master’s in Nursing/NP Program
• Active BLS certification
• Comfortable working with all age groups
• EHR proficient
• DOT certification is required; training provided if needed
• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays

Valued Skills

• Initial X-ray interpretation experience
• Suturing and basic urgent care procedures
• Master’s degree in PA studies (for PA candidates)
• Prior urgent care, ER fast-track, or walk-in clinic experience
