Facility in multiple WV location seeking Urgent Care PA-c locums coverage
Rates: $130/hr
Locations: Lewisburg, WV | Fayetteville, WV
Opportunity Highlights

Flexible Schedule: Full-time (12+ shifts/month) availability with consistent coverage needed Monday-Sunday, 8 AM - 8 PM.

Independent Practice: Work autonomously, seeing a diverse range of urgent care cases.

Supportive Environment: Onsite medical assistants and rad techs, with remote physician support available for escalation.

Epic EMR: Utilize the Epic electronic medical record system for efficient charting.
Responsibilities
-
Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages, working independently.

Comfortably perform orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care.

Manage typical urgent care assignments, including cold/flu symptoms, rashes, abrasions, lacerations, sprains, and minor burns.

Refer high-acuity cases to the local ER.

Potentially perform suturing, wound care, I&Ds, splinting, X-rays/EKGs, and drawing blood/IVs.

See an average of 3-4 patients per hour.
Provider Requirements

Education: Physician Assistant (PA).

Board Status: Board Certified.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, OR
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency medicine.

Licensure: Active West Virginia State License required to apply.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
-
DEA & CSR: Active DEA and CSR licenses required.

Availability: Minimum consistent availability of 3 shifts per month.

Skills:
-
Comfortable seeing patients of all ages.

Comfortable with orthopedic procedures (splinting) and wound care.

Willingness to work independently (no supervision).

Temporary privileges are available, with a typical privileging period of 90 days for full privileges.
