Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider Moab, UT
Position: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Location: Moab, Utah
Setting: Hospital-based Urgent Care Clinic
Job Type: Full-Time, permanent position
Position Highlights:
Provide direct patient care to walk-in patients of all ages
Broad scope of outpatient urgent care services
Work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting
Collaborate closely with Emergency Department for escalated care
Clinic hours: 10 AM 8 PM Mon Fri, 10 AM 6 PM Sat Sun (365 days/year)
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Utah license as a PA or APRN
DEA and Controlled Substance License (Schedules II V)
BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
2+ years experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred
Strong critical thinking and autonomous decision-making skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with a variety of acute conditions
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
Prescribe and manage appropriate medications and treatments
Document patient encounters and follow-up care plans
Perform physical exams for school, work, and insurance
Provide travel consultations and vaccinations
Refer patients to primary care or higher-level care when necessary
Maintain professional, compassionate patient interactions
Stay current with medical knowledge through ongoing education
Work Environment:
Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient interaction
Exposure to blood and bodily fluids (PPE provided)
Use of EMR and medical devices at bedside
High-paced, team-oriented urgent care setting
