OPEN POSITION:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Urgent Care


SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 72 to 80 Hours per 2-Week Period
- 12-Hour Shifts
- 8:00am to 8:00pm
- No On-Call


COMPENSATION:
- $140,000 to $170,000 Annual Salary, dependent upon experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
For more than 10 years, this urgent care organization has been providing affordable, immediate medical care to the Fairfield community. They treat patients for a variety of ailments, including sprains, strains, flu, pneumonia, fractures, rashes, occupational injuries, and more. Their services include, but are not limited to, urgent care, telehealth, digital x-ray, and physicals. They are a mult-site urgent care practice and are currently hiring due to growth.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Serve as an urgent care provider, seeing an average of 40 to 50 patients per 12-hour shift. All patients are prepped by an experienced clinical assistant.


The office sees patients of all ages and the provider must be comfortable providing urgent care to infants through geriatrics. The patient mix includes Medicare and commercial insurances.

The provider will work in a standard urgent care capacity:


- developing a plan of care based on clinical impressions
- ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic testing
- prescribing medications as needed
- venipuncture
- preparation and administration of medications
- dressing changes and wound management
- application of splints
- incision and drainage of simple abscesses
- removal of foreign bodies
- suturing of simple wounds or lacerations
- removal of sutures or staples

There are no on-call responsibilities.

The practice uses the Experity EHR.


REQUIREMENTS:
- Connecticut NP or PA license
- DEA
- DOT certification (or ability to obtain)
- 1+ year of relevant experience
- ability to see all ages
