A level two trauma center in California is looking for coverage for two weeks in mid-May. All shifts, including weekends are 10hrs onsite then night call. All shifts are 7a-5p on-site then night call is 5p-7a. Call back is very minimal. The hospital does 10-11 heart surgeries per month. They also do thoracic cases that the PA can assist with. Expect rounds every morning and to write notes on post-op patients. This is sometimes a shared duty with the MD. There are usually less than 10 patients in the hospital. The PA must have at least 4 years of recent experience in surgical assist in cardiac surgery, pre/post op management of cardiac surgery patients, as well endovascular vein harvesting (EVH). The facility uses Cerner EMR.
