Position Overview

Seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Vascular Surgery for a highly flexible, low-frequency locum opportunity. This role offers a consistent every-other-week Wednesday schedule, supporting both clinic-based care and inpatient vascular consults.

Ideal for providers seeking predictable scheduling with meaningful surgical exposure and strong compensation.

Schedule

• Day: Wednesdays only
• Shift: 10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Frequency: Every other week
• Call: None

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide vascular surgery support in clinic and inpatient settings
• Manage ~15 patients per day, including ~2 consults
• Assist with vascular surgical care including:
  • Bypass procedures
  • Amputations
• Support rounding and consultative care within the hospital
• Collaborate with vascular surgery team and support staff

Practice Details

• Setting: Hospital-based clinic + inpatient consults
• EMR: Epic
• Hospital Size: 150-bed acute care facility
• Patient Population: Adult (18+)
• Case Mix: General vascular surgery (non-trauma)

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (vascular surgery background preferred)
• Active Pennsylvania PA license (required)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year vascular experience preferred (non-surgical experience acceptable)
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort with consult-based workflow

Additional Information

• Credentialing timeframe: ~90 days (temporary privileges available for clean files)
• All orientation hours are billable
• Minimal schedule commitment with long-term potential
