New Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Indiana

Details/Requirements:
--Start date: June 25, ongoing needs
--Performs as 1st or 2nd surgical assist to the surgeon
--Performs EVH in time efficient/ proficient manner, prepares veins for bypass grafts
--Demonstrates proper hand scrubbing technique
--Maintains sterile OR field
--Demonstrates knowledge of commonly used instruments
--Demonstrates knowledge of common CV procedures: AVR, MVR, CABG,
--Thorocotomy and their steps
--Demonstrates proficiency in assisting room personnel with preparing patient(positioning, prepping and draping patient)
--Demonstrates knowledge of Cardiopulmonary lines
--Demonstrates knowledge of steps to go on bypass, including cannulating, hypothermia, cardioplegia, emptying the heart, etc., as well as off pump
--Demonstrates basic understanding of the role of perfusionist' with the cardiopulmonary
bypass machine and anesthesia
--Two Cardiothoracic Surgeons on staff for support
--Two Cardiothoracic Surgery APP's on staff as well
