Baylor University Medical Center campus of Baylor Scott & White, located in Dallas, Texas, is recruiting a physician assistant with experience in cardiac surgery. The candidate will have been already trained in endoscopic vein harvesting and general operative assistance. The physician assistant will participate in all phases of cardiac surgery, including preoperative evaluation, the operation, and postoperative care, including some clinic work. The range of cardiac surgery includes cardiac transplantation, ventricular assist devises, aortic dissection and aneurysms, minimally invasive valve surgery, along with routine cardiac surgery. He or she will join 2 other physician assistants in the group, together with 3 cardiac surgeons presently, all of whom work well together as a team .

The ideal candidate for the Specialty Physician Assistant role maintains effective communication with patients, staff and physicians; provides patient care in a competent, professional and courteous manner; and keeps abreast of current research and incorporates relevant findings into specific areas of clinical practice.
