REQUIRED PROCEDURES
- Chest tube management
- Blake drain management
- Pigtail management
- ABG (Arterial Blood Gas)
- NGT (Nasogastric Tube)
- G and J feeding tubes
- H&P for transferred patients
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Active State License
- Board: NCCPA
- DEA: Yes, required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage thoracic surgery patients on the floor, step-down, and ICU.
- Perform chest tube, blake drain, and pigtail management.
- Obtain ABGs, insert NGT, and manage G and J feeding tubes.
- Serve as first responder for codes until fellow arrives.
- Conduct history and physical exams for transferred patients.
