Position Details:
Patient Population: Adolescent, Adult & Geriatric Cardiothoracic Surgery Patients
Setting: Inpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery Program
Responsibilities: Providing inpatient cardiothoracic surgical support including pre-operative evaluations, surgical assisting, patient rounding, coordination of care, ordering and interpreting tests, line placements, post-operative management, and collaborative cardiothoracic patient care within a Level I Trauma Center
Required Procedures: Central Venous Catheter Placement, Dialysis Catheter Placement, Arterial Line Placement & Endoscopic Retrieval
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Cardiothoracic Surgery Team & Hospital Support Staff
Days Per Month: Full-Time Coverage Required
On-Call/Weekends: Yes | Potential Call & 24-Hour Shift Coverage

Submission Requirements:

• NCCPA Board Certification Required
• Active Connecticut License Required
• Minimum 1 Year Cardiothoracic Surgery Experience Required
