Exciting locum opportunity for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to join a dynamic surgical team! This role offers hands-on experience in high-acuity cardiac cases, weekend flexibility, and a collaborative hospital environment with strong physician support. 🚀
Job Responsibilities
Assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures including urgent cases 🏥
Perform vein harvesting and support intraoperative care
Manage pre-op and post-op patient care
Participate in rounding, consults, and patient monitoring
Respond to on-call cases and assist with emergency interventions
Collaborate closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Active Pennsylvania license (or willingness to obtain)
DEA required
Minimum 3 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience
Strong clinical and procedural skills
Working Hours
24-hour call shifts
3 weekends per month (Friday 5 PM – Monday 7 AM) ⏰
