🏥 Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) for a locum opportunity in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This role is available due to provider leave and offers the chance to work within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery team supporting both clinic and inpatient services.

The provider will assist with rounding on hospitalized patients and managing clinic visits, ensuring continuity of care for cardiothoracic surgery patients.

👨‍⚕️ Eligible Provider

✔️ Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
✔️ Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery required
✔️ Board Certification required
✔️ Ability to work in both clinic and inpatient settings

🔎 Key Responsibilities

🫀 Conduct daily inpatient rounds for cardiothoracic surgery patients
🩺 Evaluate and manage post-operative cardiac surgery patients
📋 See and manage clinic patients for cardiothoracic follow-ups
🤝 Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons and clinical staff on patient care plans
📊 Monitor patient recovery and adjust treatment plans as needed
💻 Document patient care within the facility’s EMR system

🏥 Primary Worksite: Clinic and Hospital
📍 Address: 1200 S Columbia Road, Grand Forks, ND

👨‍⚕️ Team Structure:
• 2 Cardiothoracic Surgeons
• 2 Advanced Practice Providers (1 currently on leave)
• RN and LPN clinic support staff

👥 Patient Volume:
• 10–14 clinic patients per day
• Inpatient rounding responsibilities included

⏰ 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM

💰 Compensation

💵 Hourly Rate: $240
⭐ Premium Rate: $315
🌙 Night Call: $410
⏱ 24-Hour Rate: $1,920

No gratis shifts included. Any callback during call hours is paid at the premium rate.

👨‍⚕️ Adult patients requiring cardiothoracic surgical care, including pre-operative evaluation, post-operative management, and surgical follow-up visits.
