We are seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for locum coverage in Lima, Ohio. This role includes OR, clinic, and inpatient rounding responsibilities with call coverage.

APP works autonomously (Physician present in OR/clinic)
🕒 Schedule

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Evening & weekend call required
-
Call ratio: ~7–10 days/month
Job Responsibilities
First assist in open heart, vascular & thoracic surgeries
Chest tube insertions
Thoracentesis
Suture removal
Pre-op physical exams
Order tests
Rounding
Write prescriptions
Strong OR experience in cardiothoracic surgery is REQUIRED.
Qualifications
NCCPA Certified – REQUIRED
Active Ohio License (or willing to obtain) – REQUIRED
BLS & ACLS – REQUIRED
CT Surgery OR experience – REQUIRED
Must be available for listed dates – REQUIRED
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days at presentation) – REQUIRED
