Locum PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opportunities in OH!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking locum tenens coverage in Cardiothoracic Surgery to fill a vacancy. This role involves a mix of operating room, clinic, and inpatient responsibilities, with significant call coverage. The provider will work with adult patients and must be experienced in complex cardiothoracic procedures.

Dates / Schedule

• Dates of Coverage: July 18–25 and December 25

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Call Schedule: Evenings and weekends

• Call Ratio: Approximately 7–10 days of call per month

• Reason for Coverage: Resignation

• Credentialing Timeframe: 90–120 days

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Practice Setting: Operating Room, Clinic, Inpatient Rounds

• Trauma Level: Level 2

• EMR System: Epic

• Patient Population: Adults

• APP Autonomy: Yes (autonomous practice; supervising physician present in OR and clinic)

• Average Patients Per Day: Varies

Required Duties Include:

• Suture removal

• Pre-operative physical exams

• Ordering diagnostic tests

• Assisting in surgery

• Writing prescriptions

• Inpatient rounding

• Chest tube insertions

• Thoracentesis

• Experience in open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries (OR setting)

Required Skills & Qualifications

• NCCPA Certification (Required)

• Active Ohio license (or willingness to obtain) – Required

• BLS and ACLS certifications – Required

• Relevant cardiothoracic surgical training and/or experience – Required

• Must be available for listed coverage dates (Required)

• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (Required)
