Practice Setting: OR / Clinic / Inpatient Rounds
Trauma Level: Level II
EMR: Epic
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) with a strong background in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery to provide coverage due to resignation. This role requires OR proficiency and autonomy in both inpatient and clinic settings.
📅 Schedule & Call

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
-
Call: Evenings and weekends
-
Call Ratio: Approximately 7–10 days per month
🏥 Practice Details

Mix of OR, clinic, and inpatient rounding
-
Adult patient population
-
APP will work autonomously, supervising physician present in OR and clinic

Average daily patient volume varies
🔎 Required Experience & Procedures
Candidates must have recent, hands-on experience in:

Open heart surgeries
-
Vascular surgeries
-
Thoracic surgeries
Duties include:
-
First assist in surgery
-
Inpatient rounding
-
Pre-op physical exams
-
Suture removal
-
Ordering diagnostic tests
-
Writing prescriptions
-
Chest tube insertions
-
Thoracentesis
Strong OR competency is essential.

NCCPA Certification – Required

Active Ohio License (will consider candidates willing to obtain) – Required

BLS & ACLS – Required

Relevant training and/or experience in cardiothoracic surgery – Required

Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation) – Required
