Cardiothoracic Surgery Locum PA Opportunity – OR + Call Coverage | Lima, OH

💼 Position Overview

• Location: Lima, OH

• Setting: OR, Clinic, and Inpatient Rounds

• Coverage Dates:

  • July 18–25

  • December 25
    

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

• Call: Evenings & weekends

  • Approx. 7–10 days of call per month

  • Call back required

• EMR: Epic

• Trauma Level: II

🏥 Clinical Responsibilities

This role requires a strong, experienced surgical provider comfortable in high-acuity settings.

Required Skills & Duties:

• First assist in open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries

• Inpatient rounding

• Pre-operative physical exams

• Ordering tests and imaging

• Writing prescriptions

• Suture removal

• Chest tube insertions

• Thoracentesis

• Adult patient population

• APP works autonomously

• Supervising physician present in OR and clinic settings

• NCCPA Certification

• Active Ohio License (or willingness to obtain)

• BLS & ACLS
