Job description
This assignment is for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), specifically a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), to support a Thoracic Surgery team. The provider will assist in operative procedures, inpatient management, and outpatient follow-up across multiple healthcare facilities. The role involves first assist responsibilities in the OR, inpatient rounding, admissions, discharges, and outpatient visits. Strong robotic surgery experience and thoracic (non-cardiac) surgery background are required. The provider will support minimally invasive thoracic procedures, including robotic cases, with minimal call expectations. This is a travel-supported, fixed-rate assignment with a flexible schedule.
Job Responsibilities
First assist in the OR
Inpatient rounding, admissions, and discharges
Outpatient clinic visits
Support thoracic surgical cases, including minimally invasive procedures
Assist with perioperative care coordination
Qualifications
Active CT DEA and CT CSR
Thoracic (non-cardiac) surgery experience required
Robotic surgery experience required
First assist OR experience required
Flu vaccination required
Working Hours
Schedule: 3–4 days/week, 10-hour shifts (flexible scheduling)
