Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults
Setting: Acute Care Hospital – OR, Inpatient & Outpatient
Responsibilities: First assist in cardiothoracic surgery, vein harvesting, suturing, pre- and post-operative surgical care, inpatient rounding, ICU coverage, and clinic duties
Required Procedures: Open heart surgery first assist, vein harvesting, ICU and surgical patient management
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 4 physicians, 7 mid-level providers
Days Per Month: Minimum 3 weeks per month required
On-Call/Weekends: Weekday call ~5%; weekend ER call ~75%
Schedule Details:

Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

OT applies after 8 hours daily

Call coverage as scheduled
Submission Requirements:

Active South Carolina PA license
-
Minimum 2 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience

ACLS certification
-
DEA license
-
Clean background / MP history
