Job description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery to provide per diem locum coverage in Langhorne, PA. This role is primarily hospital-based and involves both weekday and weekend shifts with occasional on-call responsibilities.
Weekends: Must be available at least one weekend per month
Call Coverage: Occasional weekday on-call responsibilities (Call ratio 1:3)
Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 2–4 weeks

Assist in Cardiothoracic surgeries

Perform endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting

Conduct pre-op physical exams and post-op care

Suture removal, chest tube insertions, endoscopic retrievals

Diagnose and treat illnesses

Order and interpret diagnostic tests

Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care

Hospital rounding duties

Work closely with supervising physician, Dr. Maxim Gluhovsky

Document in Epic EMR system

Board Certified Physician Assistant

Active Pennsylvania PA license

ACLS and BLS certifications (Required)

Minimum 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience, including vein and radial harvesting

Must be local to Langhorne, PA (only mileage reimbursement is provided)
