A facility with 461 beds using Athena EMR is seeking a thoracic physician assistant for locum tenens coverage. It takes about 30-60 days to priv.
On your assignment in San Francisco, stroll over to the San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts, the Presidio, or Lands End, a rugged, windswept playground where you can watch for whales and check out the ruins of the Sutro Baths. The options are endless.
There are about 2 phone consults/day and 10-25 patients seen/day. There are about 2 hearts/day and 3-4 surgeries/day. This will be all open heart cases; CABG, AVR, MVR, Critical arrest, etc. They are looking for someone with 2-5 year experience and the ability to harvest veins endoscopically as well as assist in surgery pre and post. The schedule is 10-hour shifts Mon - Fri (6am- 4pm). The locum will round with physician and prep patients.
