Highly regarded surgical team in Bakersfield, California is seeking a physician assistant to join their team!

The surgeons and current APPs are very open to training and are interested in candidates with or without surgical experience. This position will include a mix of first assisting in the OR, seeing patients in the clinic, and managing inpatients. Learn from a fellowship-trained surgeon who is known nationally as one of the best in his field, and gain exposure to all aspects of surgical care!

Responsibilities:

• Full-time permanent position - Reconstructive Surgery
• Monday-Friday - Mix of first-assisting in the OR, outpatient, and inpatient responsibilities
• First-assist in the OR
• See patients pre-op and post-op in clinic
• Conduct hospital rounds and consults
• On-call schedule shared equally among all providers

Qualifications:

• California Physician Assistant License (or ability to obtain)
• Previous experience in a surgical subspecialty
• Relevant clinical rotations
