Surgical Oncology Associates is recruiting for an experienced clinic based Nurse Practitioner.
This Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assisting surgeons Monday through Friday in a clinic based setting by seeing established patients.
Duties will include put are not limited to:
- ordering imaging, labs, biopsies
- sending referrals for consultation
- Review of pre-op testing: labs, chest x-ray and EKG
- Peer to peer calls and letters for appeals to insurance
- Coordinating care with home health, TPN and physical therapy
- Small procedures in clinic such as drain removal and punch biopsies.
NP will act as a clinical lead and resource for clinic staff. NP will collaborate with Supervising Physicians routinely to review new and advancing protocols to ensure best care of their oncology patients.
Rounding on service in multiple hospitals.
Experience:
Preferred: Oncology, Plastics, GI
Required: NP or PA with Board Certification, BCLS/ACLS
Education
Required: Master’s Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
Certifications
Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. RNP License; BLS
