- Other details: The facility which is stroke certified, trauma level 2, and PEDs level 2 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. Immediate need for two experienced Neurosurgery PA or NP First Assists to join a high-volume neurosurgery practice supporting 5 neurosurgeons and 4 APPs serving adult and pediatric patients, providing inpatient rounding and first assisting in the OR with no outpatient duties. Call rotation includes 1:4–1:5 weekend and 1:4–1:5 night call. Current needs include 1 full-time provider at 40 hours per week and 1 part-time provider working two weeks per month, with a minimum requirement of at least two weeks of availability per month. Candidates must hold an active Florida license, current board certification, and a minimum of 2 years of Neurosurgery OR experience as an advanced practice provider in a high-acuity, trauma-capable environment.

Job Responsibilities
* Serve as first assist in the OR for neurosurgical cases
* Participate in weekend and night call coverage rotation (1:4–1:5)
* Collaborate with neurosurgeons and APP team to provide high-quality surgical care
* Manage surgical support in a high-volume, high-acuity environment
Qualifications
* Active Florida license
* Current board certification
* Minimum of 2 years of Neurosurgery OR experience as an APP
* Must be able to commit to at least 2 weeks of coverage per month
Working Hours
* 1 part-time provider: 2 weeks per month
* Call rotation: 1:4–1:5 weekends and 1:4–1:5 nights
* Inpatient + OR only (no outpatient responsibilities)
Skills
* Strong clinical judgment in high-acuity neurosurgical care
* Experience managing adult and pediatric neurosurgery patients
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced OR environment
* Strong communication and teamwork with surgeons and clinical staff
