Locums – Tampa, Florida, NP/PA Neurosurgery Opening

Location: Tampa, FL Start Date: ASAP – Ongoing Need License: Active Florida License – Required

• Position: Neurosurgery NP or PA (First Assist)

• Openings: 2 Providers

  • 1 Full-Time Provider: 40 hours per week

  • 1 Part-Time Provider: Two weeks per month

• Setting: Inpatient & OR (no outpatient responsibilities)

• Facility: 600+ bed hospital

• Trauma Level: II (Adult & Pediatric Trauma Center)

• Schedule: Flexible based on provider availability

• Call:

  • Rotated among APPs – 1:4/5 weekend call and 1:4/5 night call

  • Call is for unassigned patients

• Practice: High-volume neurosurgery group with

  • 5 Neurosurgeons

  • 4 Advanced Practice Providers

• Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient rounding

  • First assist in the OR

  • No outpatient clinic duties

• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years as an APP in Neurosurgery OR

• EMR: Cerner

• Board Certification: Required

• License: Active Florida License – Required

• Certifications:

  • ACLS – Required

  • BLS – Required

• Experience: At least 2 years in Neurosurgery
