An expanding and dynamic Neurosurgery program in the Salem, Oregon area is actively seeking a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join their surgical team. This is a premier opportunity for a provider looking to specialize in high-acuity medicine.

Job Responsibilities
This role offers a comprehensive mix of first-assisting, outpatient clinic, and inpatient management.
- First-Assist in Surgery: Serve as the primary first-assist in the OR for neurosurgical cases, including spinal fusions, craniotomies, and laminectomies.
- Clinical Management: Independently see patients for pre-operative clearance and post-operative follow-ups in the clinic.
- Inpatient Care: Conduct daily hospital rounds, manage inpatient consults, and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with the attending neurosurgeon.
- Patient Education: Guide patients through their surgical journey, explaining procedures and recovery expectations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Current Oregon Physician Assistant License (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date).
- Certification: NCCPA Board Certification.
- DEA: Valid DEA Registration.
- Experience: Previous experience in a surgical subspecialty (Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery) is preferred.
- New Graduates: New graduates with relevant clinical rotations (Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Neurology) are strongly encouraged to apply.
