One of the most successful neurosurgery teams in Texas is seeking a physician assistant to join their practice! The position includes an excellent balance of surgical and clinical duties with great work-life balance. Candidates must have experience working in a surgical specialty and be proficient in the operating room, however candidates do not need to have direct neurosurgery experience to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Full-time permanent position - Neurosurgery
• DFW area - Fort Worth, TX
• Monday-Friday schedule
• Approximately 3 days in the OR, 2 days in the clinic
• Split time between seeing patients in clinic and first assisting in surgery
• Wide range of cases including both spinal and cranial surgeries

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a physician assistant in a surgical specialty
• Experience functioning as a first assist in the operating room
• Active Texas Physician Assistant License (or ability to obtain license)
• EMR proficient
• Ability to build rapport with new patients and established patients
• Ability to adapt to new environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
