There are two neurosurgeons whom the APC will work with and support for clinic, call and surgical purposes.
Four department APC's currently.
Looking for 1 full time locum with ongoing availability.
Practice details:
Neurosurgery APC requirements (MUST HAVE RECENT NEUROSURGERY EXPERIENCE INCLUDING SURGICAL CASES):
Schedule will be 40 hours per week, with 4 – 10h days for 3 weeks alternating with 5 – 8h days for 1 week. There are additional hours of weekend call once every fourth weekend until February 2024, then once every 5th weekend beginning in March 2024, as-well-as week night call once every fourth week until February 2024, then once every 5th week beginning in March 2024. Weekend call is Friday through Sunday and week-night call is Monday through Thursday.
Duties include surgical first assist; bedside procedures; rounding independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor; hospital and ER/UC consults; clinic duties including outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care, fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation.
