Physician Assistants - Cardiothoracic Surgery (SA197214) Kissimmee, Florida Direct Hire This regional medical center in Central Florida near Orlando is assisting a private Cardiothoracic Surgery practice in their search for four (4) Board Certified and experienced Physician Assistants. The employed PAs will work in an outpatient setting to include new patient visits and post surgical follow up visits. The P.A.s will also be utilized as Surgical First Assists. A minimum of one year of Cardiothoracic Surgery or Cardiovascular Diseaseexperience with vein harvesting experience is required. The practice offers state-of-the-art cardiovascular and thoracic surgery services for adult patients including Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Valve Repair and Replacement, aortic surgery, arrhythmia surgery, general thoracic surgery including robotic lobectomy, and a variety of vascular and endovascular procedures. Hospital is also looking to grow a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program (performed 22 cases in 2015). The cardiac program has been recognized as an STS 3-Star program for CABG for most of its history and consistently produces excellent patient outcomes. The Regional Medical Center is a Joint Commission accredited is a 321 bed hospital in downtown Kissimmee that is rapidly expanding. The Cardiac Institute is contained within a distinct tower and has 102 private beds including a 20-bed CVICU. There are 2 dedicated cardiac operating rooms with one hybrid room. Osceola Regional has the only cardiac surgery program in Osceola County, one of the fastest growing counties in Florida. The hospital has an active affiliation with University of Central Florida and started Internal Medicine and OB-GYN residencies last July with Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Neurology and Psychiatry residencies to begin soon. As of the 2010 United States Census, the city population was 59,682 and is a Principal City of the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, Florida, Metropolitan Statistical Area, which had a 2010 population of 2,134,411. Moments to Orlando, Kissimmee is a family-oriented destination known for its themed dinner theaters, swamp tours and outdoor activities. In downtown Kissimmee, spend some time in Kissimmee Lakefront Park and walk around the waterfront, stopping for ice cream, some splashing in the fountain pool and perhaps a cast into the lake known for bass. Walk past the Monument of States, made of minerals from every state and many nations. Watch for murals depicting the town's past as a cattle capital, where present-day rodeos and cattle auctions allow visitors and residents to remember the historic past.
