• Support Staff Available: 1 clinical support staff on clinic days
• Reason for Coverage: Military Leave

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• First assist in OR for total joint replacements
• Fracture repairs
• Foot/ankle procedures
• Shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist procedures
• General Orthopedics
• Casting/splinting/DME application
• Joint injections

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active MN license (PA or NP)
• Board: Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• DEA: Yes
• Certifications: BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support required within 180 days; NCCPA certification upon hire; Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or equivalent PA certification within specialty upon hire
• Experience: 1+ year experience; 1+ year OR experience required; prior Orthopedic/sports medicine experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• First assist in OR for total joint replacements, fracture repairs, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist, and general orthopedic procedures
• Provide clinical coverage in clinic, seeing 20–25 orthopedic patients per day
• Perform casting, splinting, DME application, and joint injections
• Round on patients in the hospital setting on mornings and occasional weekends
• Collaborate with surgical team on OR days and handle administrative duties on designated days
