Job Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of neurosurgery experience required
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings required
• Level I trauma experience required
• Neuro-trauma experience required
• Active California Physician Assistant license preferred; licensing support may be available
• BLS and ACLS required
• Strong communication skills and responsiveness throughout the privileging process
• Ability to complete hospital privileging requirements and required health screenings

Responsibilities

• Provide neurosurgery support across inpatient units, outpatient clinic coverage, and operating room assistance
• Collaborate with attendings, APP colleagues, and nursing staff to support quality patient care
• Manage a mix of inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery cases, including neuro-trauma patients
• Remove surgical drains and assist with bedside procedures as directed
• Support first-assist duties when preferred and appropriately credentialed
• Help maintain a smooth daily workflow in a busy, high-acuity neurosurgery service
