Job Requirements

• Active Maryland Physician Assistant license
• Experience as a first assist in cardiothoracic surgery or cardiac surgery
• Vein harvesting experience required
• At least 1 year of relevant clinical experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with surgeons, OR staff, and the care team
• Strong communication skills and flexibility with operating room scheduling

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist support during cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• Assist with vein harvesting as needed
• Support the surgical team with patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Adapt to varying start times based on case volume and surgical needs
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced procedural environment
