NP/PA General Surgery - Night Shift - opening near Albany, NY
About Position:
Located in Troy, NY; Albany 7m
Full Time – Overnight Inpatient role
Employed
Seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team in Troy, NY.
This is a night shift, inpatient-only role providing in-house coverage for surgical patients across multiple service lines.
Join a collaborative, team-focused surgical practice committed to high-quality, patient-centered care, supported by strong system resources and a collegial clinical environment.
Provide overnight, in-house inpatient coverage for surgical patients, including:
- General Surgery
- Gynecology
- Orthopedics
- Vascular Surgery
Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients throughout the night shift
Monitor patient progress and clinical status overnight
Order, review, and interpret labs and diagnostic tests as appropriate
Collaborate closely with surgeons and APP colleagues to implement and adjust treatment plans
Provide patient education, care coordination, and discharge planning
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
No operating room responsibilities
-Monday- Friday 11p-7a
Broad clinical exposure across multiple surgical service lines
Supportive General Surgery team with a strong culture of collaboration
Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
NYS license
Previous experience in general surgery or a related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Compensation package may include:
Competitive base salary range $147,139-$159,619 commensurate with experience
