Job Responsibilities
🔹 Assist surgeons in the OR (first assist duties)
🔹 Perform suturing, wound care, and hemostasis
🔹 Support intraoperative procedures (positioning, suction, drainage)
🔹 Conduct patient rounding, progress notes, and consults
🔹 Manage orders, discharges, and post-op care
🔹 Participate in optional call coverage
Qualifications
✔️ Active NY State License
✔️ Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience
✔️ AHA BLS, ACLS, ATLS certifications required
✔️ Epic EMR experience preferred
✔️ Strong surgical assisting background
Working Hours
🕒 Day Shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10–12 hrs)
📅 Flexible block schedule (3x12s, 4x10s, or 5x8s)
