Your expertise will support staff in performing complex cardiac procedures, including vein harvesting, and managing postoperative care. You will work closely with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams, operating primarily during weekend shifts, with a schedule designed to optimize work-life balance. Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of surgical experience as a Physician Assistant
  • Current PA license and DEA registration
  • Proficiency in EPIC EMR system
  • Strong clinical skills in acute care and postoperative management
  • Ability to handle complex procedures and support cardiac surgical teams
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to work 24-hour shifts including weekends and on-call capacity

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in vein harvesting procedures
  • Previous exposure to cardiac or thoracic surgical environments
  • Additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular support or related fields

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Proven track record of at least 3 years in a cardiothoracic or acute care setting

Other Requirements:
  • Valid state licensure as a Physician Assistant
  • Board certification in Physician Assistant studies
  • Willingness to work 24-hour shift rotations and follow hospital protocols
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving clinical environment
