Assist in surgical procedures as First Assist in the Operating Room 🔪
Provide pre- and post-operative patient care
Perform wound care, suturing, and hemostasis
Assist with patient positioning, suction, drainage, and irrigation
Manage inpatient rounding, consults, and discharges 🏥
Collaborate with surgeons across General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedics 👨⚕️👩⚕️
Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR 💻

Start Date: June 9, 2026 📅
Short-term summer coverage (with potential extension)
🗓️ Scheduled Blocks Include:
• June 9–11 (3x12s)
• June 22–24 (3x12s)
• July 1–3 (3x12s)
• August 6–8 (3x12s)
• August 21–28 (flex: 5x8s / 4x10s / 3x12s)
⏰ Shift Options:
7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (standard)
Alternate: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📞 Call Opportunities (Optional):
Weekend call: Fri 5 PM – Mon 7 AM
Weeknight call: ~4 shifts/month (5 PM – 7 AM)
Weekend rounding: 8 AM – 12 PM
🎓 Qualifications
Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Active New York license (required)
AHA Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ATLS required
Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience
Experience with EPIC EMR preferred

Acute Care Hospital setting 🏥
109-bed facility with diverse surgical cases
Patient ratio: ~1:10–15
Mix of OR time and surgical floor coverage
Exposure to General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic cases
Work alongside a collaborative surgical team

Summer coverage with likely long-term need
