• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts: 3 shifts per week, 13-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends; 1–2 weekend shifts/month)
• Shift Times: 5:30 AM – 6:30 PM or 5:30 PM – 6:30 AM
• Self-scheduling available
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,480 – $4,130 (competitive travel PA pay)
• EMR: Epic

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the U.S.; state-specific license per facility requirements
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience required; neuro ICU, trauma, or neurosurgery experience preferred
• Experience with central and arterial line placements preferred (not required)
• Comfortable managing high-acuity neurocritical care and neurosurgical patients
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team of APPs, fellows, and attendings
• Strong documentation skills using Epic EMR

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the neuro ICU and neuro floor settings (neurocritical care / neurosurgery)
• Manage an average ICU census of ~6 patients and up to 12–14 patients on the neuro floor (no consult service coverage required)
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and implement interventions for neurocritical patients
• Participate in procedures such as central and arterial line placements when credentialed (preferred)
• Collaborate closely with neurocritical care fellows, neurosurgery attendings, residents, and other APPs
• Document care and orders in Epic EMR and support continuity during shift handoffs
• Engage in a supportive, team-based APP-driven practice with 24/7 intern coverage
