Physician Assistant - Surgery - General Surgery in California

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: Full time coverage for 8-10 weeks, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week guaranteed. Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday shift times will vary working mainly inpatient and in OR. Tuesday and Friday roughly 8am-5pm (may end earlier around 2pm-3pm) working in clinic. No call.
• Job Setting: Hospital and clinic
• Types of Cases: Surgical oncology/general surgery. Wednesday is a block day reserved for bigger cases. Monday and Thursday are lighter cases (mainly add on, assist surgeons, smaller cases). PA first assist in cases. 4-15 patient encounters per shift.
• Credentialing: 60-90 days

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified required
• Certifications: Robotics certification required
• Licensure: Active CA license and CA DEA. Must be a Physician Assistant. Fellowship required. Providers must have 25 general cases (notes, HMPs) and 5 OR cases. Minimum 2 years of experience. Strong OR and surgical skills required with ability to work somewhat independently in the inpatient setting and manage patient calls.
