This inpatient role focuses on managing transplant patients overnight, assisting with admissions, and ensuring continuity of care. Ideal for PAs with recent transplant experience who thrive in fast-paced hospital environments.
Job Responsibilities
🩺 Conduct patient rounds and clinical evaluations for transplant patients
📋 Perform admissions and pre-operative workups for transplant candidates
📝 Document H&P notes, event notes, and patient updates in EMR
🔄 Provide detailed handoffs to the day shift care team
🤝 Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nurses, and care coordinators
📊 Monitor patient progress and escalate clinical concerns when needed
Qualifications
✔ Certified Physician Assistant
✔ Active New York PA License
✔ Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient transplant experience
✔ BLS and ACLS certifications required
✔ Experience with Epic EMR preferred
Working Hours
🌙 3 night shifts per week
⏰ 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
