Job Summary:
HCA Florida Healthcare is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join a growing and dynamic Colorectal Surgery practice.Qualified Candidates:
- PA board certification
- Join 2 colorectal surgeons
- 2 years of experience
- Active or eligible for state (FL) license
- Strong clinical judgement and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and patient education abilities
- Must be committed, willing to collaborate, and enthusiastic about taking care of patients
- Responsibilities to include:
- Work closely with providers to provide continuity of patient care
- See follow-up and post-op patients independently
- Patient education regarding pre-op, hospital, and post-op expectations with phone call follow up post discharge
- Assist in minor office procedures (anal scope, thrombosis hemorrhoids drainage, rubber banding, and skin tag removal)
- Follow up on all tests ordered to ensure completion and review results (including postop pathology)
- Communicate with the Oncology navigator to facilitate the coordination of care
- Provide day-to-day clinical job functions related to triage/patient care
